what started with a little creative inspiration from my drummer in the sun dogs, has transformed tom varley & the sun dogs into oceanview. that, along with an introduction to a Fender Stratocaster and few effects pedals (overdrive/distortion, chours, delay), my musical world - tone, shape and color - instantly expanded.
the sound has a fresh vibe, incomparison to the sun dog sound. oceanview still has the beach element, but with a little more hit of urban vibe meets the sea. imagine driving through topanga canyon, hippie and natural, winding down to pacific coast highway: and there it is - santa monica, venice, and eventually gritty hollywood.

oceanview is the self-induced project which began one chilly winter at the hut on the oregon coast. the sound is being compared to topanga canyon rock meets the foo fighters I coldplay I wilco.
